No, EVERYONE! [ecstatic] loves classical music...they just don't know they do yet!! Do you see the difference?"

How true. One is the Gospel according to how we were taught. The other is the good news of hope for all.

Re: One Buttock Christianity

That was wonderful!

Re: One Buttock Christianity

Monachus, no guilt required. We need to find that place again...if we ever had it before.

Re: One Buttock Christianity

All right, now I have guilt! I'll comment on the notes and line thing.... :-)

He talked about Mandela spending 27 years in prison. That's a long time. I know that I find it easy to focus way too much on the individual notes of where I am right now. The beauty of the journey is found in my ability, or willingness, to step out of the head-down-note-pounding posture I take and listen to the melody line my life is weaving. It's hard right now, honestly. But the beauty of trust and faith is that it somehow offers me hope to know that the tension in the dancing of a melody line is what makes the release more beautiful and satisfying.

Are you happy now??

Re: One Buttock Christianity

That was well worth the 20 minutes. Thanks for sharing. The shining eyes part is what hit me, too, so I'll save that for your shining eyes post!

Re: One Buttock Christianity

The link didn't really lead to the pic I wanted. Look at their eyes. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it."

I've spent time with followers of Jesus who make my eyes dull and glazed. They ramble on about truth and law and reaping what's sown, or they gossip and slander in the name of judgment.

I've spent time with followers of Jesus who make me lean forward, my eyes shine because of what I'm hearing, what I see in them and therefore in Him, and because of the possibilities.

I was just watching a video on Youtube the other day. It was a "debate" on CNN between two well known pastors. One was defending truth, the other love. One's eyes were piercing and shady. One's eyes were shining and inviting.

I like to dream, and when I do I imagine myself looking into the eyes of the Jesus. I've never seen any other thing there except love depicted by light, they are always shining.
Like they are here: http://picturesofjesus4you....

Who sees that in my eyes?

Thanks, Jonathan....

Re: One Buttock Christianity

Fabulous.
